What "shared" actually means
On a shared houseboat:
- Your bedroom and attached bathroom are yours alone. They are private and lockable.
- The sundeck and dining area are common spaces. Think of a small guesthouse on the water.
- The backwater cruise is shared with the other guests on board.
- Meals are included and cooked fresh on board. That means lunch on day cruises, and lunch, dinner and breakfast on overnight stays.
- A dedicated crew looks after the boat throughout.
You book online by choosing a boat, your date and the number of guests. Confirmation needs a 25% advance, and the balance is paid at check-in.
What "private" means
