Alleppey Houseboat Food Menu
Every AlleppeyGT houseboat carries its own chef and kitchen. Here is exactly what is served on each of our four boat categories, meal by meal.
What Food Is Served on an Alleppey Houseboat?
All meals are included in the package price and cooked on board. An overnight cruise covers a welcome drink on boarding, a Kerala lunch served while the boat is moving, evening tea with fritters, dinner after the boat moors, and breakfast the next morning. A day cruise covers the welcome drink, lunch and evening snacks. What changes between categories is how much is on the table: Deluxe serves a classic spread with karimeen fry, Premium puts both fish and chicken at every main meal, and Luxury runs to fifteen dishes at lunch alone. Vegetarian alternatives are prepared on request on every boat.

Houseboat Food FAQs
Is food included in an Alleppey houseboat booking?
Yes. Every AlleppeyGT houseboat package includes meals cooked on board by a chef who travels with you. An overnight package covers a welcome drink, lunch, evening snacks, dinner and breakfast. A day cruise covers a welcome drink, lunch and evening snacks. There is no separate food charge.
What is the difference between the Deluxe, Premium and Luxury menus?
The number of dishes. Deluxe serves a classic Kerala spread with karimeen fry at lunch and chicken curry at dinner. Premium puts both fish and chicken on the table at each main meal and adds pulissery, payasam and a continental breakfast. Luxury runs to fifteen dishes at lunch, including prawns roast and chicken 65, and twelve at dinner.
Do AlleppeyGT houseboats provide vegetarian food?
Yes. Much of every menu is already vegetarian, and the chef prepares alternatives such as paneer curry, vegetable stew, paneer masala or aloo gobi in place of the fish and chicken. Tell us when you book so the shopping is done accordingly.
Is the food cooked on the houseboat?
Yes. Every boat has its own kitchen and chef. Lunch is cooked while the boat is cruising and dinner after it moors, so nothing is brought on board pre-made.
