What Is a Honeymoon Houseboat Stay in Alleppey?
A honeymoon houseboat is a private 1-bedroom Kerala houseboat booked for one couple - the whole boat is yours, with a captain and chef in separate crew quarters. The overnight stay runs from 12 noon check-in to 9 am checkout and includes all meals cooked fresh on board, an air-conditioned bedroom with attached bathroom and an afternoon cruise before the boat anchors for the night. Flower bed decoration and a honeymoon cake are a ₹1,500 add-on, and a candlelit dinner on deck can be arranged on request. Prices start from ₹9,000 per night. October to March is peak honeymoon season; December and January book up first.
