What Is a Birthday Celebration on an Alleppey Houseboat?
It's a private houseboat charter - the whole boat to your group, not shared with other travellers - booked around a birthday. A welcome cake, balloon or flower decoration and a private dinner on deck can all be arranged in advance, on top of the usual overnight package: all meals cooked fresh on board, an air-conditioned bedroom, sundeck access and a backwater cruise. Prices start from ₹9,000 per night. A 1 or 2 bedroom houseboat suits a couple or small family; larger celebrations should look at a bigger boat or a group booking.
What to Expect on a Birthday Cruise
Your private crew handles the cruising and cooking, so you can focus on the celebration. Nothing here is a fixed script - tell us what matters for your birthday and we'll fit it around the cruise.
- 1
Check-in & welcome
Board at the jetty and settle in - if you've arranged a cake or decoration, it's ready in your room or on deck at check-in.
- 2
Afternoon cruise
Cruise the backwaters with lunch served fresh on board, and the deck free for photos.
- 3
Sunset on deck
The boat anchors for the evening - a good window for cutting the cake or a toast as the sky turns gold.

A multi-course Kerala dinner on deck, candlelit on request, after dark.
- 5
Morning cruise
A relaxed cruise back with breakfast before checkout.
